Patricia Gonzalez-Zuniga, MD AAHIVMS
Patty is a Latina physician native of Tijuana, with more than 3 decades working with marginalized communities in the San Diego Tijuana border region. Since 2000, she has participated in many HIV and substance use research projects. Patty is also the instructor for the Medical Spanish Course at the UC San Diego School of Medicine. As co-investigator of SASEA and as a passionate advocate for health as a human right, Patty has been supporting this program’s implementation and training the team on diagnostic testing at our schools and childcare centers.
