Dr. Rebecca Fielding-Miller is an Assistant Professor at the UC San Diego Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Sciences. Her research examines structural drivers of HIV and gender-based violence in the United States and sub-Saharan Africa with a focus on the intersection of race, gender, and economic inequality. As Principal Investigator of the SASEA program, she oversees the social and behavioral research and implementation of the program. Dr. Fielding-Miller is on a quest to bake the perfect loaf of sourdough bread and enjoys bullet journaling, painting badly, and gardening with her three year-old.
