Vinton Omaleki, MPH
Qualitative Researcher — he/him
Vinton is a Qualitative Researcher for the SASEA team. He conducts focus groups and key informant interviews with members of the SASEA school community and is a site lead in SASEA’s response testing. Vinton received his Bachelor of Science from University of California, Davis in International Agricultural Development, his Clinical Medical Assistant certification at San Joaquin Valley College, and his Master of Public Health at San Diego State University in Health Promotion and Behavioral Science, focusing his thesis on gender equity and health for women in Central Asia. His public health interests are in the Social Determinants of Health, Community Engagement, Infectious Diseases, Food Security, and Global Health. Vinton loves gardening, playing historical strategy games, and never goes anywhere without bringing a book.
